Terry Waters
President and CEO
Terry Waters is the President and CEO of Yankee 451 Group, LLC, and is charged with managing the company's strategic direction and day-to-day operations.
Waters brings to Yankee Group extensive leadership and expertise in growing information services businesses. Prior to leading the company, he was president and CEO of Highline Financial, a banking information and financial analytics company. He also held leadership roles with research company Gartner, Inc., including chief marketing officer and president of its Executive Programs business unit.
Before Gartner, Waters was chief operating officer for Screaming Media, a Web-based content aggregation, syndication and business services provider. Prior to Screaming Media, he held senior management, marketing and sales roles at Gartner and Xerox Corporation.
Waters holds a B.A. from College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Mass.
Brian Partridge
Vice President, Research and Consulting
Brian Partridge is vice president of research and consulting at Yankee Group. He has been with Yankee Group for over eight years and is an active contributor to the company's connected devices and mobile broadband research agenda. Partridge is also responsible for overall management of Yankee Group's Affiliate Program and custom research practice.
Prior to joining Yankee Group, he served as senior director of marketing and business development at ReefEdge Networks, a leading vendor of wireless security and management systems. Before ReefEdge, Partridge was the worldwide director of industry analyst relations at 3Com Corp. Before 3Com, he held a number of sales support and product marketing roles at Enterasys Networks, a Tier 1 enterprise networking vendor.
Partridge holds a B.S. degree in business administration from the University of New Hampshire and an M.B.A. degree from Plymouth State University.
Carl Howe
Vice President, Research and Data Sciences
Carl Howe is vice president of Yankee Group's Data Sciences group and also leads its research into mobile devices. In his data sciences role, Carl oversees all of Yankee Group's carrier monitor, survey and forecast products and has led its work in interactive data analysis and visualization. In his research role, he examines and measures how mobile networks, devices and content transform the way consumers live.
Before joining Yankee Group, Howe co-founded Blackfriars Communications to advise companies in complex industries on how to distill, communicate and deliver their value. Prior to Blackfriars, he directed Forrester's research in networking, computing and infrastructure, and was also a principal analyst. Prior to Forrester, Howe spent 18 years at BBN Corporation, where he helped develop operating systems for some of the largest parallel processors in the world and researched wearable computers, desktop video conferencing and distributed systems.
Howe holds an S.B. degree in electrical engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has served on the faculty of MIT and Wellesley College.
Wayne Adams
Vice President, Product and Market Development
Wayne Adams is charged with developing and driving the go-to-market strategy for Yankee Group's suite of Mobile Advisory and Planning Services (MAPS). He is responsible for pricing, packaging and sales for these research offerings.
Adams brings to Yankee Group extensive experience in the advisory and planning research market. Prior to Yankee Group, he was president and co-founder of Innovation Research on Demand, a research firm focused on nanotech, biotech, energy and electronics. He also held senior sales and marketing leadership positions at Frost & Sullivan, a consulting firm focused on corporate growth and innovation strategy and Input, the leading government research and consulting company. Adams spent eight years at Gartner, where he rose to SVP of WW Sales. He began his career at Xerox Corporation, where he rose to become General Manager of its Gulf Coast Operations.
Adams holds a B.S. degree in business administration from Louisiana State University.
