Ashvin Vellody, senior vice president, has the overall organizational responsibility of Yankee Group's research and consulting group. In this role, Vellody oversees the teams focused on the technologies that build and power the Anywhere Network, as well as those that help mobilize and capitalize on it. Vellody has proven expertise working with customers to solve their business problems in the areas of digital commerce and intelligent software applications.

Vellody has more than 15 years of expertise as a leader in defining IT strategy. Before Yankee Group, he was director of enterprise architecture and strategy planning at U.S. Cellular, where he oversaw IT planning, asset management and solutions architecture. Vellody also worked at Capgemini LLC as manager of consulting services, where he led the North American software engineering practice as well as oversaw consulting engagements and client relationships. Vellody has also held consulting and engineering roles at i-flex solutions and Asea Brown Boveri in India.

Vellody holds an M.B.A. degree from the J.L. Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University. He also received a bachelor of electrical and electronics engineering degree from the National Institute of Technology in Surathkal, India.
