How it's done: Our unique value comes from the combination of our deep expertise in connectivity technology and our Link data products which track more than one million data points worldwide. And our analysts are connected, too. Each year we interview 25,000 consumers, employers and IT decision makers, grounding our insights with the most current information available.
To capture the enormity of the Anywhere revolution, we examine both the supply side and demand side of connectivity change. On the demand side, we examine the connectivity needs of consumers and enterprises and look at how businesses can mobilize and capitalize on these. On the supply side, we research how the Anywhere Network will be built and powered.
Question-driven research. As with the nature of any revolution, powerful battles are underway, and questions abound: How will the Anywhere Network be built, and what leaders will emerge? How can operators turn emerging technology trends such as cloud computing into measurable profits? How can they make sense of all of the industry and usage data to better meet the needs of their subscribers?
For enterprises, what will the Anywhere Enterprise of the future look like? Should IT take back control of end-user imposed technologies? How can companies meet worker demand for mobility without compromising security and IT productivity?
And who will win the hearts of the Anywhere Consumer? What devices will prevail and which features will become most popular? What will be the role of consumer privacy versus monetization?
We have adopted a top-down, question-driven research approach to frame our investigations. This enables us to focus our research on what's truly transformational in the Anywhere revolution. Yankee Group's Research Agenda, our choice of research categories, the metrics we track and the survey questions we ask all derive from a focus on understanding and questioning the major battles that are shaping the Anywhere revolution.
