As chief technology officer, Jeffrey Breen oversees the development and operation of Yankee Group's client-facing systems as well as all of our internal infrastructure and support systems. Breen and his team work to ensure that Yankee Group's insight and analysis are readily accessible by our clients, and that our employees remain connected and productive in our increasingly Anywhere world.
Before joining Yankee Group, Breen was the chief technology officer of Navient Corporation, a start-up providing candidate screening and selection solutions for call center staffing. He held various leadership positions in the technology organization of Forrester Research, including responsibility for all client-facing and internal software development. In the mid-1990s, Breen built the Web development group at SNL Financial and implemented the first Web-based data collection system for its core data products.
Breen holds a B.A. degree in physics as well as astronomy and astrophysics from the University of Pennsylvania and an M.A. degree in astronomy from the University of Virginia. While working as an astronomer earlier in his career, he published and contributed to papers in The Astrophysical Journal, Science and various conference proceedings.
