Yankee Group Citation Policy

Current clients may cite Yankee Group research materials in the following ways:

  • Internal communication
  • External sales presentations
  • Communication with clients and prospects via email
  • Annual reports or internal business planning documents
  • Press releases (requires approval by Marketing department & analyst)

A citation is defined as use of a single graph or slide or a portion of text up to a paragraph long. All text must be identified as "Source: Yankee Group, Document Title, Date" and the Yankee Group copyright notice must be affixed to all graphs or slides.

Non-clients who have purchased one-off reports are restricted from using the materials for any external purpose and are only permitted to distribute content internally.

The following uses of citations are not permitted unless granted by the Yankee Group:

  • Use on a client website
  • Use in sales brochures, marketing collateral (direct or email mktg.)advertising copy, trade show materials, newsletters, etc.
  • Use in a client?s own report, white paper, or publication ? or any other materials contracted by the client from a 3rd party
