Daniel Taylor
Daniel Taylor is the chief research officer at Big Picture, where he researches the juncture between media, communications and technology. Equally versed in mobility, digital media, networking, market research and modeling, Taylor brings more than 15 years of experience to his work at the highest levels within leading companies in their industries--be it competitive analysis, consumer choice modeling or marketing program development.
Taylor was previously a digital media analyst at Yankee Group, director of telecommunications at Aberdeen Group and principal analyst for managed services at Giotto Perspectives. He has held marketing and product management positions at the Mobile Enterprise Alliance, Media 100 and other digital video companies. Taylor holds a BS in Engineering Mechanics from the Johns Hopkins University and has completed doctoral work in Systems Engineering at the University of Pennsylvania.
Caroline Gabriel
Caroline Gabriel is the co-founder and research director of Rethink Technology Research, a London-based analyst and consulting firm, which specializes in operator business models using emerging technologies. In particular, the company's research and consulting focus on advanced wireless technologies such as WiMAX, LTE and 4G, and on the economics of the quad play. Caroline has been analyzing the telecoms and technology sectors for over 20 years and was previously European content director at VNU Business Publishing, one of the world's largest technology publishers.
Sam Vasisht
Sam Vasisht is president of 21TechMedia, a research and analysis-based consultancy that provides full marketing services to digital media technology companies. In this capacity, he serves as an advisor and market strategist to management and boards of companies. He brings deep digital media industry, technology and marketing expertise toward clients' market entry and market growth challenges. Previously, Sam led marketing for Fortune 500 and venture-backed startups in digital media, networking, wireless and consumer electronics for over 15 years. These include global brands such as Motorola, Bose Corp., Real Networks and others. Most recently, Sam was VP of Marketing at On2 Technologies (now Google), where he successfully repositioned and rebranded the company. Under his marketing leadership, On2 received the Frost and Sullivan Technology Innovations Award and was included in the Russell 2000 Index.
Over the course of his career, Sam has developed and launched various industry-first products, including the first DOCSIS-certified residential gateway. He has rebranded and relaunched major product lines and companies, and built marketing and product departments from the ground up. His business and industry analysis is driven with a goal toward pragmatic business results and executable strategies for his clients.
Sam is the author of two pending patents in wireless and networking. He holds a BSEE and received his MBA from Babson College as a Babson Fellow.
