Yankee Group Deepens Network Intelligence and Security Expertise

Former Arbor co-founder Ted Julian joins company as principal analyst.

Boston, MA May 24, 2010 - Yankee Group today announced that industry veteran Ted Julian has joined the firm as a principal analyst and key member of the network infrastructure team. In this role, Julian will leverage his more than 15 years of industry expertise to augment Yankee Group's research in the areas of network intelligence and security.

Most recently senior VP of marketing at database security startup Applications Security, Julian was also co-founder and chief strategist of pioneering security firm Arbor Networks. Prior to that, he co-founded Internet security startup @stake and served in key network analysis positions at Forrester Research and IDC.

At Yankee Group, Julian's area of investigation will be the Intelligent Network, including: network policy management platforms, Web-based security, managed DNS services, deep packet inspection (DPI), peer-to-peer communications, DNSSec and IPv6.
